Community Involvement
How do you make new friends in a new place? How do you grow? How do you connect to something greater than yourself? For me, the answer is getting involved.
By now, it’s ingrained in me to join organizations for friendship, personal/professional development, and fulfillment. Since 4th grade I’ve been heavily involved in community organizations (back then: 4-H, sports teams, and FFA), and that didn’t stop once I joined college or the workforce.
Community Involvement:
- Success Book Club Chair – National Association of Asian American Professionals Temple Collegiate Chapter (NAAAP Temple)
- Vice President of Professional Development – Temple University Asian Students Association (TempleASA)
- Vice President of Community Affairs (Volunteering & Community Civic Engagement events)
- Public Relations and Professional Development Officer
- Temple ASA EFIX Dance Team Member
- Fundraising Committee Member – Business Honors Student Association (BHSA)
- Member of: American Marketing Association (TUAMA), Association for Information Systems (TempleAIS)
Even while abroad in Taiwan, I got involved where I could with the International Student Information Service Club and NTU Kung Fu Club, while also doing many English-Chinese language exchanges with students from neighboring universities.
