MANNA Philadelphia Community Kitchen
On Monday, September 9th, I spent 3 hours (from 7-10AM) volunteering at MANNA Philadelphia. MANNA is an organization that makes homestyle food for low-income families and/or people with disability and nutrition requirements. This summer I spent over 100 hours volunteering with them, and they make a huge difference to our community.
On this Monday we spent time chopping broccoli and prepping soup for cooking.
The biggest thing I’ve learned from MANNA is the difference food makes. We get lots of support from the local community about the difference MANNA makes in their lives (over 2500 people currently being served 3 meals/week).
