Integrated Marketing Intern
Employed: May 2015 – August 2015
Responsibilities included: marketing research, database organization and management, and creation and publication of weekly newsletters. I was also tasked with general clerical duties including greeting clients and answering phones. In addition, I was invited to participate in weekly project meetings with department heads. Being a part of the First Generation team allowed me to assist with the advertising video production process. This was great exposure to the field of marketing and the power of advertising.
Crayola
Easton, PA
Information Systems Intern
Employed: May 2016 – August 2016
Crayola, a company that produces art supplies for children and adults, is best known for its crayons. A subsidiary of Hallmark, Crayola is located in Easton, Pennsylvania. While interning in the IS department my responsibilities included:
- Configuring monitoring software through Monitis
- Monitoring multiple servers, APIs’, and different URLs’ using Monitis
- Editing product description on Crayola.com using Demandware’s Business Manager
- Trouble shooting load time issues on different pages of Crayola.com
- Participating in cross functional meetings requiring collaboration with different departments
- Helping with the development of a financial planning application through SharePoint
- Assisting with server configuration on SharePoint
- Developing Windows application for finding the amount of disk space taken up by each directory
