Director of Communications in Gamma Iota Sigma
I serve as the Director of the Communications functional area for Gamma Iota Sigma, where our primary goal is to keep students, faculty, and alumni informed about events, accomplishments, and the latest happenings within the Sigma Chapter. Our responsibilities include producing the “Risky Business” newsletter to highlight upcoming events and speaker bios, publishing press releases for major chapter events, and managing LinkedIn posts after each speaker meeting. A significant part of our work also involves maintaining regular communication with other functional areas within the organization to ensure smooth coordination. This role provides me with the opportunity to give back to an organization that has been instrumental in my professional growth. I learned the importance of staying organized while managing multiple platforms and the value of effective communication when working with different teams.
