Social Media Manager
In my role as Social Media Manager at New Jersey City University, I am responsible for overseeing and crafting content for the university’s Center for the Arts Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter profiles, ensuring consistent brand messaging and tone across all channels. I have been in this role part-time since October 2023. To do so, I utilize Canva and Adobe Illustrator to create promotional materials and informational graphics for upcoming events. In order to be successful, I must stay current with industry trends and perform outreach marketing to the student body. Additionally, a vital part of my role is developing and maintaining relationships with external partners in alignment with the university’s marketing goals. For instance, I connect with popular blogs and groups in the Hudson County community to extend the reach of upcoming events. I also collaborate with other teams to ensure my graphics comply with the university’s guidelines. Lastly, I create and implement a content calendar and scheduling system, optimizing posting times and frequency to maximize reach and engagement with the target audience.
