Life Aspirations and Interests

I do not believe in a career, I believe in a life. I am not looking to get an entry level job into a large corporation such as Comcast or Morgan Stanley. The nucleus of success is intangibles. I have been ‘working’ on my self for the past five years, going through my highs and my lows all in the process of the Alchemist-transmuting my old flawed and unfavorable self into the ideal me where I am self-aware and the master of my reality. When a professional athletic team such as one in the NFL assembles a team of immense individual talent, but with low intangibles, no application of scheme, then you get the Eagles infamous ‘Dream Team’ from several years back. Augmenting my core self of intangibles (communication, awareness, empathy, confidence, balance, poise, patience, etc) with skills gained through Temple education and education found elsewhere such as; writing a business plan, understanding the fundamental tact needed for international business, basic business law (contract, international), networking, marketing a product or a brand, and all the while maintaining my individual creativity and frame of mind I believe I can achieve anything I set my self to.

My overall business aspirations are in entrepreneurship. Creating various operations across the world that empower people is my long-term goal in business. I also look to engage in an assortment of other pursuits such as inner-city high school teacher, creative writer, music, along with some perspective seeking times in 2nd and 3rd world countries. I look to fulfill a life of empowerment through creativity and authenticity.

Outside of school I enjoy reading books; some of my favorites are: 50th Law by Robert Greene, Siddhartha by Herman Hesse, and the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin. I am very particular with what I watch on television, generally sticking only to what I perceive to be in the masterful realm of creativity such as Game of Thrones, True Detective, Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad, Modern Family, and of course sports with my favorites being football and basketball although hockey is growing on me. Creative writing, both philosophical and short stories is a hobby of mine. Piano was a skill I took up while in Spain but have not had the money since coming home to purchase a keyboard or private lessons, but I will look to take this back up shortly. And teaching myself Spanish is another side pursuit of mine with the goal of becoming “Level 4” by the time I graduate.
