Barback
- Ensured that the inventory of drinks at the bar were properly stocked as well as maintained the liquor closet, walk-in refrigerator, and walk-in freezer.
- Prepared and served beverages and food for customers during rushes at an organization that typically seats 450+ people on any given night.
- Performed opening/closing services that involve breaking down two glass washers, disposing of recycling, wrapping food, wiping down surfaces and capping bottles of liquor and wine.
- Assisted with bussing and running food in and out of the kitchen as requested by the bartenders or expeditors.
- Trained three employees to maintain this particular position of employment.
Expeditor
- Facilitated the distribution of food from the kitchen to the table number printed on the item ticket via my runners.
- Maintained knowledge of all menu items, prices, major ingredients, garnishes, accompanying condiments/sauces, serving temperatures, portion size, and appearance.
- Organized item tickets into an implemented system to minimize error and maximize ease of use.
- Responsible for coordinating takeout orders with the sous chefs and line cooks to properly accommodate each specific orders requests.
- Accountable for preparing the expo window and station for a shift as well as closing and cleaning the kitchen.
