Tutor
Durin the fall semester I was a Knack Tutor for those who needed support in MIS courses. As a tutor I provided assistance to students in MIS related courses at Temple University. I helped my peers by engaging in practice problem exercises and study tips to help students succeed. In addition to providing peer-led tutoring, I provided guidance as a peer tutor to students as well as understanding areas where students need most help in. I learned from this experience what my skills are as a leader in the MIS department. I learned more about how different students have different learning styles, and the importance of active listening to help my peers reach their goals. By actively listening I was able to choose an effective method to help my peers understand core concepts on a deeper level and to help them perform well on exams.
