AI/ML Vibe coding Workshop
I attended the Vibe Coding Workshop led by Professor Keith Gutierrez from the MIS department.
He introduced the concept of vibecoding, a practical way to build customized apps without needing deep programming skills. I found it fascinating how he applied vibecoding and AI to manage his own vending machine business, and how he also used the same approach to develop an interactive scheduling app for neurodivergent children.
The session was very engaging and helped me realize that vibecoding encourages the same kind of problem-solving and critical thinking used in traditional coding languages like JavaScript or Python. It connects perfectly with my MIS background and my interest in AI-driven application development. Overall, it was an inspiring session that showed how creative technology can be used in real-world business solutions.
