The <strong>Cybersecurity in Application, Research, and Education (CARE)<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Lab<\/strong> offers a social science approach to cybersecurity and seeks to foster a multidisciplinary dialogue among academia, industry, nonprofits, and government.<\/p>\n<p>This intersectionality enables a creative, unique and holistic means of understanding the phenomena of cyberattacks and cybersecurity.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/community.mis.temple.edu\/cybersecurity-center\/files\/2023\/10\/pic3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3301\" src=\"https:\/\/community.mis.temple.edu\/cybersecurity-center\/files\/2023\/10\/pic3-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/community.mis.temple.edu\/cybersecurity-center\/files\/2023\/10\/pic3-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/community.mis.temple.edu\/cybersecurity-center\/files\/2023\/10\/pic3.jpg 299w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Aunshul Rege is an Associate Professor in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/liberalarts.temple.edu\/academics\/departments-and-programs\/criminal-justice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Department of Criminal Justice<\/a>\u00a0at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.temple.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Temple<\/a>. Her research has been funded by several National Science Foundation (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/awardsearch\/showAward?AWD_ID=1453040&amp;HistoricalAwards=false\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NSF CAREER<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/awardsearch\/showAward?AWD_ID=1742747&amp;HistoricalAwards=false\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NSF EAGER<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/awardsearch\/showAward?AWD_ID=1446574&amp;HistoricalAwards=false\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NSF CPS<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/awardsearch\/showAward?AWD_ID=2032292&amp;HistoricalAwards=false\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NSF SaTC EDU<\/a>) and Department of Energy\/Idaho National Lab grants. Her work focuses on critical infrastructure and cybersecurity, cyber adversarial decision-making and adaptation, ransomware, social engineering, and cybersecurity education. She is the organizer and host of the <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/socialengineering\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">summer social engineering competitions<\/a> for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students.
