Personal interest and service work

I have many personal interest and my primary interest is playing competitive chess. I used to spend up to seven hours playing chess on the computer with different opponents from around the world. In 2008 I was rated among the top 200 chess players in the United States and I was a F.I.D.E Master. Chess can be extremely competitive and at one point my rating was as high as 1890 which is way above average among chess players. I specialized in bullet chess which is speed chess 2-3 minute games with a clock. The reason why I like speed chess is because it makes your opponents make decisions faster because if your time runs out than you automatically lose. Blitz chess is still timed but it’s a five minute game and standard chess is the most common, which is playing without a clock. My other interest is playing poker and it correlates with chess. Poker is also a thinking man’s game with probabilities and calculations, although there is luck involved. I used to play poker copiously during the weekends at the casino in the summer time but I don’t have the time to play now, due to school and other responsibilities. I also contributed in community service activities which included cleaning up the city of Chester and church related services which helps out the local community of West Philadelphia.
