Vice President, Alpha Pi Chapter

Responsibilities: 

The Vice President presides over the Minor Board, which consists of the chairs of all Chapter committees. He should, at all times, assist the President in the conduct of chapter business.

The VP must ensure that all fraternity events are kept on a calendar to confirm that there are no conflicts. He is also the most informed brother in the chapter. He should see to it that he informs the Scribe, or Secretary, of everything the chapter has planned so that he may help in informing the chapter. He monitors the effectiveness of all committee chairs and works with those who are not doing their job properly and keep the President informed at all times.

History:

AEPi was founded in 1913 under the Washington Square Arch at New York University (NYU) by Charles C. Moskowitz and 10 other Jewish men: David K. Schafer, Isador M. Glazer, Herman L. Kraus, Arthur E. Leopold, Benjamin M. Meyer, Arthur M. Lipkint, Charles J. Pintel, Maurice Plager, Emil J. Lustgarten, and Hyman Shulman. These men are known as the “Immortal 11.” Their first pledge was Samuel L. Epstein.
