Accounting Major

Academic History

Mayfair Elementary School

Born and raised in Albania, I moved to Philadelphia in winter of 1999 at the age of 9 years old. Academically wise, the transition was challenging at first as I had to quickly learn a whole new language and keep up with the schoolwork. Being determined to excel in school, I practiced and studied the English language day and night and was able to speak fluently only a short year later. I was then at the top of my classes from 6th to 8th grade as I made first honors in each of them years.

Central High School

Throughout middle school I had my heart set to attend Central High School, ranked second amongst public schools in the city. Midway through my 8th grade class, I found out I had been accepted to it and this was my proudest academic achievement so far. The courses were very demanding and most of my time was spent studying. My drive and determination to be the best student I could possibly be led me to graduate with honors and an overall GPA of 3.75.

Temple University

Making the transition from Central high school to Temple University was very smooth as I had already experienced and been prepped for the amount of work and time you have to put in in order to excel. I’m currently studying Accounting at the Fox School of Business. I have had many interesting and engaging classes with real life knowledgeable professors such as in Management Information Systems and Intermediate Accounting. Temple University has given me the platform to excel in the real world as I graduate in January of next year.
