Temple Economics Society – Love Run Volunteer
On Sunday, March 30, 2025, I volunteered for the Philadelphia Love Run from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., where I helped give out medals to those who crossed the finish line for the Half Marathon and the 7K. The goal of the Love Run race is to help celebrate the city of Philadelphia in terms of the running culture and to raise funds for cancer research and emergency financial support for cancer patients and their families. The results of my work with the Temple Economics Society is that I was able to help give medals to over 11,000+ runners whose contributions are used to help raise funds for a variety of charitable organizations. What I learned while volunteering at the Love Run was the importance of keeping a positive attitude while greeting runners who just finished their race and the importance of actions taken to help raise money for charity.
