I enjoy being involved in my community through multiple organizations.  I have been a member of the American Red Cross since 2007,  I took part in the Memory Project, and Volunteered in multiple Special Olympics events in Bucks County, Pa.  On campus Im involved in the American Marketing Association and the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority.

The Memory Project is a group of Art students create portraits for youth around the world who’ve been neglected, orphaned, or disadvantaged.  This is something I am proud to have been a part of.  In 2011- 2012 I received a photo of an Orphan from Ethiopia that lost everything.  She didn’t have parents or any belongings to call her own. My class received pictures of a group of these orphans and had the opportunity to give them something meaning full.  We redid the pictures of them with color pencil or paint and sent them back with a note about ourselves.  I never got to find out her name or much else about her but it put a smile on my face knowing she could have a piece of art work of herself.  This is how it turned out:

I am an active member in the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority at Temple University.  Phi Sigma Sigma is something I am also very proud of.  The sorority is involved in many community service projects in Philadelphia.  We participate in block clean ups,  fundraising walks such as Light The Night, and we also had the opportunity to paint murals in the Edwin M. Stanton Elementary School in Philadelphia.  Our Philanthropy work for the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation, which promotes school and college readiness, really makes a difference in our community.
