Gertrude Hawk
I had worked at Gertrude Hawk for four months as a summer job as a warehouse employee. I was located in their main factory in Dunmore, PA where I was taught how to work several machines in order to fill in spots where there were low staff. During my time there I was praised for my efficiency with fulfilling the Cosco orders. I led a team of five to six employees to pack and prepare shipment of 13 crates to Cosco. With my leadership and ability to have my team perform at their best we where able to reach our 13 crates quota and prepare and extra 2 crates each night.
Gerturde Hawk taught me how to be flexible in order to achieve more in the factory. By learning multiple machines and jobs I was able to go around and fulfill places in order to keep production up. This also helped me learn more about companies employees and how each go throught different things around their workplace. I was able to learn a lot about the people I worked with, the machines, the company, and Mr. Hawk who gladly chatted with the workers every Tuesday when he visited. I was a amazing experience.
