Comcast Business

I began my time at Comcast Business in the Spring of 2013 and have been with the company since. During my time with the company, I have coordinated some of Comcast Business’s marketing efforts and have experienced the real business world in a hands-on setting. My daily duties include database manipulation and reporting, trade show coordination and working with vendors to order products that are held in inventory at headquarters. My team supports new marketing initiatives like the new B4B (Built For Business) campaign, and the National Account Managers that discuss our products and services with business owners nationwide.

In greater detail, my experience, and my role at Comcast, has been a tri-pronged approach. Prong 1 includes tradeshows. These trade shows require a great deal of planning and proper execution in order to add value to the organization. I work with external vendors to create collateral that educates potential customers on Comcast Business’s products, services and solutions. These collateral pieces are vital to the National Account Managers success at shows. Additionally, I work with NAMs to put together booths, giveaways and raffles that ensure a strong branded presence at shows. Holistically, these efforts lead to trade shows that drive value for both the customer and the business.

The next prong revolves around iPads. Comcast Business has a custom-built iPad application that was built with trade shows in mind. Not only do I update, troubleshoot and maintain the fleet of iPads that we store, but I also work with our app development and internal tech support teams to ensure that employees are able to install the application on their business devices. This can be a challenge due to the nature of iOS–and it is exciting and interesting to work with the iPads and get the wonderful application in their hands.

The final prong revolves around sales effectiveness tracking. I utilize Salesforce.com and Excel to pull and manipulate data, generate reports and create charts and graphs that illustrate what’s going on in the data. This prong is vital to tracking the effectiveness of shows, events and meetings and is very exciting to be a part of.
