TU-AMA’s 9th Annual Career and Internship Reception
Temple University’s American Marketing Association hosted its 9th Annual Career and Internship Reception on Wednesday, February 28th, from 2:00 to 4:30 pm in the 7th floor MBA commons in Alter Hall.
CIR is an opportunity for students to learn about internships and full-time offers from companies and gain experience in networking and pitching. This year, TU-AMA hosted a Resume & Elevator Pitch Competition with prizes for the winners. The competition was judged by Fox facility and Fox alum and CEO of NPB Consulting, Nicole Bezinski. The following companies attended CIR this year: Burlington, Northwestern Mutual, Enterprise, Publicis Health, Altitude Marketing, Insomnia Cookies, Everything Clicks, and PNC Bank.
I learned how to pitch myself better through the competition which will be useful for interview processes that come later down the line in my career. Making small talk with recruiters is a very important skill at this point in my career and I hope to take these skills with me through Barclays into the future.
