Temple University Small Business Development Center

This summer I’m working as an International Business Research Intern for the Temple University SBDC. The center offers seminars and consulting to small business and start-ups throughout the Pennsylvania area. I support the International Trade consultant with client research and administrative work as well as planning and implementation of seminars like the Going Global event  for Doing Business in Nigeria and South Africa that took place last June 11th at Alter Hall. I will also support training programs offered by the SBDC together with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Small Business Development Centers offer assistance nationwide and work closely with 18 universities in Pennsylvania to support entrepreneurs.  Funded by the federal government, SBDC programs are partnerships between  the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, higher education institutions and the U.S. Small Business Administration. These programs are free and provide education to small business owners in order to help them grow.
