I worked as a Web Development Intern, where I was responsible for full-stack development, including designing and developing an anime collection cross-site price comparison application. I implemented functionality that allowed users to compare anime collectible prices across multiple retailers and evaluate pricing information on a single platform. The project involved developing the application from concept to a functional prototype and preparing it for a professional presentation. At the conclusion of the program, my team presented and pitched the application to an audience of approximately 50 guests and a panel of five judges from different professional fields, including a city councilman, the CTO of Aberdeen, Microsoft employees, and other industry professionals. Through this experience, I strengthened my full-stack web development, problem-solving, collaboration, and technical presentation skills. The internship directly relates to my Management Information Systems major and Computer Science minor by applying concepts from software development, systems analysis, database management, and web technologies to a real-world application. It also provided experience translating a business problem into a technical solution and communicating that solution to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":31043,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-8","points","type-points","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/community.mis.temple.edu\/dstella\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/points\/8","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/community.mis.temple.edu\/dstella\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/points"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/community.mis.temple.edu\/dstella\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/points"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/community.mis.temple.edu\/dstella\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/31043"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/community.mis.temple.edu\/dstella\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=8"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/community.mis.temple.edu\/dstella\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/points\/8\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/community.mis.temple.edu\/dstella\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=8"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
