API Integration @Soom Foods

Soom Foods is a mid-sized purveyor of tahini. They sell through a variety of outlets including grocery stores, restaurants, and online. I worked with Soom’s marketing team to perform research on their target demographic and optimize their reporting process for marketing insights and sales information.

In my role, I was assigned with segmenting demographic data on customers with google analytics from social media and e-commerce sites as well as a survey distributed through social media outlets. I also utilized a Google API to automate a weekly process of pulling marketing analytics and sales information.

Above is a glimpse of the marketing information which I pulled from the analytics attached to Soom’s E-commerce site. I was able to elaborate on customer loyalty and buying behavior with the survey that was distributed.

Above is the API I utilized to pull information on a weekly basis from the website into a spreadsheet. This saved the marketing specialist at Soom foods hours every week for reporting tasks.

I used my creativity and problem-solving knowledge to streamline the marketing data that Soom leveraged. Although this role was marketing focused, the skills I gained from MIS allowed me to create a massive time saver for the marketing team at Soom.
