Guru Tour
As a winner of a TUDEV hackathon, my team and I were invited to a tour of the Guru office in center city which was followed by lunch with some of the team members. This experience was extremely valuable for me because I got an inside look at what real developers do in their daily lives. I was able to have many conversations with experienced developers about the advantages and disadvantages of certain technologies, some of the problems that they faced while learning how to program and where the industry is headed in the future.
This experience was then followed by an interview which helped prepare me for my entry into the field. I was able to see what a tech interview is really like and what types of questions I should be prepared for. Overall, this experience with definitely help me in my future career.
