Fighting Food Waste
In my spare time, I embarked on a fulfilling journey aimed at addressing food waste and supporting individuals facing housing insecurity. Motivated by a desire to make a tangible impact in my community, I began utilizing the “Too Good To Go” app, a platform designed to connect individuals with surplus food from local businesses at reduced prices. By collecting this unsold, yet perfectly edible food, I started distributing it to people without stable housing. This initiative not only helped in reducing food waste but also provided a reliable source of nourishment to those in need. Through this endeavor, I’ve forged meaningful connections within the community, gained insights into the challenges faced by individuals experiencing housing insecurity.
