Produce Stocker
During my time as a Produce Stocker at Sam’s Club Club #6332 in Philadelphia, PA, I worked within the fresh produce division, supporting daily inventory and sales operations in a high-volume retail environment. Sam’s Club, a subsidiary of Walmart, is a nationwide warehouse chain known for its data-driven approach to logistics and member service. My responsibilities included stocking and rotating produce, conducting backroom inventory audits, and assisting members on the floor. I regularly used handheld scanners and Sam’s Club’s built-in inventory management software to track product flow, monitor stock levels, and ensure real-time inventory accuracy. Additionally, I contributed to quarterly financial and inventory reports by providing data inputs and helping assess departmental performance trends. This hands-on experience gave me valuable insights into how retail operations leverage technology for supply chain optimization, data integrity, and performance analysis. It directly connected with my Management Information Systems (MIS) coursework, particularly in enterprise systems, business analytics, and database management, helping bridge classroom theory with real-world application.
