Intro to GitHub
My Intro to GitHub certificate has provided a strong foundation in version control and collaborative coding, which directly supports both my Management Information Systems (MIS) coursework and my future career goals. Through this certification, I gained hands-on experience with core Git functions, including cloning repositories, pushing and pulling changes, and managing branches—all essential skills for working in team-based technology environments. These concepts align closely with MIS topics such as systems development, project management, and database management, where collaboration and change tracking are critical. Learning how to work collaboratively on GitHub has prepared me for real-world scenarios where teams must coordinate on technical projects, maintain code integrity, and manage iterative updates—skills that are essential for roles like business analyst, data analyst, or systems analyst, especially in agile environments. This experience has strengthened my ability to contribute effectively to tech-enabled business solutions and cross-functional project teams.
