- When I was brought onto the position (I worked with Temple from Fall 2017- Fall 2021) 50% of my work was dedicated to sourcing and upkeeping Professor CVs in Symplectic Elements (essentially a scholarly database software). We had to work with multiple other departments in the university to get the software to function correctly for each school in the University. This taught me a lot about special data types and confidentiality. Specifically, how much we had to adapt the system analyze mathematics CVs compared to those used in Liberal Arts programs.
