Web Application Development (MIS 2402)
I became proficient in web-based programming languages HTML, JavaScript, and CSS in this class. Through the use of all three languages, I developed and designed an interactive website using a web based API to visualize leading causes of death in New York City.
Data and Analytics (MIS 2502)
In MIS 2502, I learned how to construct database schemas and relational databases. Furthermore, I learned how to query open datasets using SQL and NoSQL, which has become instrumental in furthering my progress in personal research projects regarding sports analytics. In the final weeks of the course, I became proficient in Jupyter, where I learned how to cluster and manage decision trees.
Data Science (MIS 0855)
In MIS 0855, I learned how to clean and organize datasets on Excel and Tableau. I became proficient in Tableau and have adopted the program into my curriculum to further my experience in creating Interactive Dashboards and Data Visualizations. Using my knowledge, I used a dataset on NFL rushing statistics to create an Infographic on the success of teams in relation to their style of play.
