Dehandschutter & Associates
Dehandschutter & Associates is an international consulting firm based out of Acton, MA that works with nonprofit organizations across the world to develop action plans for meeting fundraising goals and improve board communication and external communication materials.
I had the privilege of working here for two years as an intern and enjoyed growing with the company and taking on more complex and important tasks as I got to know the organization better.
Some of the projects I worked on while there included:
- Coordinating entire office move to new location, ordered and set up all furniture and technology needed
- Posted job advertisements for both a permanent part time position and a summer intern position, screened resumes and conducted phone and in person interviews, and participated in deciding who would be extended an offer
- Attended client meetings and developed materials for client workshops
- Created a social media implementation plan and gave a presentation to the owner of Dehandschutter & Associates on effectively leveraging social media to further promote the company
- Client specific tasks such as helping write grant proposals and case statements, performing research, transcribing interviews, revising website donation pages, etc.
The variety of projects I worked on at Dehandschutter & Associates provided me a unique, challenging, and enjoyable experience that will help in future internships and jobs.
