Voicing Conviction: Keys to Persuading IT Risk Management Decision Makers
Where: Zoom
When: 1 pm
I learned that when someone is listening to you speak: 7% of your impact is verbal (choice of words), 38% is the tone of your voice (volume, pace), and 55 % is your body language. We also have 5 intentions when we speak. Self-Affirmation, Small Talk, Information Sharing, Persuasion or Direction, and Feeling.
This relates to my coursework and career goals because when interviewing, all of theses aspects are important to consider while trying to make a good impression to decision makers. While having these things in mind and also the tips that Orlando Barone gave us in this webinar, we are able to feel confident and prepared for any public speaking in the future.
