Director of PR, Gamma Iota Sigma, Sigma Chapter
From August 2024 until Fall 2025 (three semesters), I will/ have been a Director of PR for Gamma Iota Sigma, Sigma Chapter. Gamma is the RMI x AXI Business Fraternity at Temple University. We hold meetings every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:00 – 12:50 P.M. In addition, I have my own personal office hours Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:00 – 5:00 P.M. These office hours serve as a time for my to complete my tasks and also as an opportunity for students to pop in and ask me questions.
Every semester we have an Officer Retreat where we set goals for the semester ahead. Every Fall, we also go to the National GIS Conference. Last fall, it was in Indianapolis. Here I had the opportunity to network and attend many different conferences. A large focus of the conference was on the combined usage of insurance and data analytics, as well as the upcoming role of AI in the industry.
In this role, I am responsible for working in Canva, Adobe premier, and Adobe Lightroom. I edit videos, photos, and create graphics. This has allowed me to improve upon my Adobe skills and overall digital ability. This semester my team and I newly implemented a mascot for our fraternity, known as Gamma Guardian. We have edited videos and promoted the mascot greatly within our chapter, which has in turn promoted membership and added a hint of fun into a professional organization.
