Adding Sub-Menus<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As you get involved and exposed to various types of experiences, you will have more things to write about and post on your e-portfolio! A common issue students make, is having too many top-level menu items. This tends to look cluttered and disorganized.<\/span><\/p>\n

Using sub-menus is a great way to solve this problem! You can easily keep your e-portfolio simple and organized by displaying only the key highlights of your profile. For example, you can categorize the different pages you have into several distinct categories instead of displaying all of those pages in the top-level menus.<\/span><\/p>\n

So instead of this:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

You will have this:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

And you can do it in just a few simple steps.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 1:<\/strong> In your dashboard, go to \u201cAppearance\u201d \u2192 \u201cMenus\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 2:<\/strong> Go to \u201cManage Locations,\u201d and choose a menu (eg. \u201cMenu 1\u201d) from the drop down. Click \u201cSave Changes.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 3:<\/strong> Go back to \u201cEdit Menus.\u201d Before creating sub menus, select the menu items that you want to display by marking the check box under \u201cPages\u201d and click \u201cAdd to Menu.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

You should see the menu items that you just added under \u201cMenu Structure.\u201d You can also drag the items up and down to organize the order of the menus.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 4:<\/strong> To create sub menus, drag the item that you want to make into a sub menu inwards (to the right).\u00a0 It should say \u201csub item.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

When you\u2019re done, hit \u201cSave Menu\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 5:<\/strong> Go to your e-portfolio and check out that new look!<\/span><\/p>\n
