What did you do at Comcast?
Internal teams throughout the company submit requests for our team to build dashboards in Tableau using their data. This process required us to gain access to their data, clean and manipulate the data in Alteryx, load the cleaned data into a database, then build the dashboard in Tableau.
What are examples of your work?
Built a dashboard for the Environmental Health & Safety team at Comcast; built a workflow in Alteryx for consolidating Salesforce and Microsoft Forms data
What did you learn?
I learned the ETL process – taking the data we needed out of a larger dataset, cleaning and manipulating the data to shape it into what we needed based on business rules and KPIs, and loading it into database management systems like MS SQL Server so it is ready to import into Tableau.
