At Comcast, I build process automation robots to eliminate the many repetitive and tedious tasks that are involved tax employees\’ typical workdays. I also manipulate state and federal tax data to produce reports for the tax department. Lastly, I write Python scripts used to quickly extract large amounts of tax data for analysis against other data sources.

I am using Python to extract tax return data from XML files and then manipulating that data in Alteryx to compare to alternate data sources to validate the integrity of the data.
What you learned and how it relates to your major (e.g., describe what you learned from this experience in the context of specific courses)
I used the concepts taught in Digital Solutions Studio to solicit requirements from my bosses. These requirements serve as the foundation and direction for the XML project. Because I am leading this project alone and I am new to the tax department, it is important to continuously update these requirements and use an Agile methodology to ensure that I am delivering exceptional results.
