Career Goals and Interests

Although college life keeps me very busy, I strive to make time for my true passions and hobbies in life. These passions begin with sports, a huge part of my life. My entire family and I share a bond in our love for soccer, and we all have played our whole lives. Growing up, I played for several competitive club teams that allowed me travel around the country for games, tournaments and showcases and eventually played for my high school.

One of my life goals in taveling; running with the bulls in Spain

I also love traveling, and although I am still young and it can be expensive, I aim to go on some sort of trip several times throughout the year. Being able to experience new cultures, food, drinks, landscapes, languages and, most importantly, people is a huge part of my life. I feel that by not traveling and trying to experience everything the world has to offer severely limits your appreciation for life and the uniqueness our planet has from region to region.

I became interested in Finance during my freshman year of college, where I was more thoroughly introduced to the complexities and inner-workings of the industry. I find it incredible that just about every industry, company and individual being deals with the issue of finance, and I enjoy learning about the different methods and tactics used to spend, invest, or acquire more money by these different entities. My specific interests in the financial industry correspond to more individual, non-corporate clients and individuals. I believe that working one-on-one with and helping individuals and families will be more rewarding to me than working with large-scale operations.

Before completing my undergraduate work, I hope to gain experience in the field by interning in any facet of the industry.Through my work as full-time student, I hope to broaden my scope of knowledge in finance and gain an understanding of the field as a whole, while harnessing skills that can be applicable to a wide range of job opportunities upon my graduation.
