- The restaurant has a total of 7 employees including me. The restaurant is located in 4040 City Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19131. I worked in DJ Kitchen as a part time server from February 5th to April 24th for a total of 12 weeks.
- As a server at a restaurant, I play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests. I greet patrons, guide them to their seats, and take their orders, noting any dietary restrictions or special requests and relaying these to the kitchen or bar. I then deliver meals and beverages promptly, checking in periodically to ensure satisfaction and addressing any concerns. I also present the bill, process payments, and clear tables, resetting them for new guests. Additionally, I collaborate with kitchen staffs and managers to ensure smooth restaurant operations and provide attentive service throughout the dining experience.
- I interact directly with guests, greeting them, taking their orders, and responding to their questions or concerns. Effective communication allows me to understand customers\’ preferences, dietary restrictions, and any special requests, which I accurately convey to the kitchen or bar staff. Additionally, I coordinate with colleagues, including other servers, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure smooth service, manage orders, and resolve any issues that arise promptly. I manage orders as a form of data entry, ensuring they are logged correctly into the restaurant\’s point-of-sale (POS) system. This system functions like a database, tracking orders, payments, and transactions.
