Career Interests

The combination of Accounting and MIS offers so many possibilities. However, the consulting career path is the one that I am most interested in. Being a consultant would allow me to travel to local, national, and even international client locations. As a sufferer of chronic wanderlust, the opportunity to travel was the most appealing to me.

Ever since I began my career in auditing at SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, I have developed a deeper understanding on how people, process and technology all play a part how a business is run in the modern age. I enjoyed the compliance and internal controls aspect of the career the most; therefore, I would also like to obtain a Certified Internal Auditor license.

During my internship at Protiviti, I was giving more opportunities to explore the wide arrays of Internal Audit work. My experience and the people that I have met through Protiviti has solidified my choice to become a consultant one day.

Post graduation, I want to pursue a career in the consulting. Public accounting and auditing allows me to get a snapshot of how companies run; meanwhile, consulting and internal accounting would give me a wider perspective of understanding company processes and systems.  In order to gain a broad learning experience, I hope to launch my career in a firm that focuses on internal audit and risk consulting like Protiviti. Wherever this career may lead me, I believe that I will be doing what I love and loving what I do!
