Experience
Like most first generation Asian American, I grew up helping my parents with our family business in textiles manufacturing. We were a family-owned and operated sewing contractor, where fabric are pre-cut and we simply assembled. Growing up as a bilingual, I had the opportunity to wear different hats while helping my parents with the business operations. As of August 2012, I have been serving as the Project Coordinator for my family’s contract sewing business, Queen’s Fashion. In order to access files and information more efficiently, I was able to apply what I learned about Microsoft Access and Excel from my business classes to create a new database to access information electronically.
