Building a Resume and Cover Letter that gets you Noticed

The Building a Resume and Cover Letter that gets you Noticed event consisted of various company leaders and hiring managers discussing the hiring process and key points to consider when applying for job positions. The webinar was split into two portions: one being a lecture discussing what factors of cover letters and resumes to keep in mind when creating them coming directly from an employer’s point of view, and the second being a question-and-answer type of discussion. This event was sponsored by the Main Line Chamber Talent and Education Network, and my role in this event was as a student to gain more knowledge, and I also contributed to the discussion through the question-and-answer segment. Through the event, I learned about the importance of tailoring cover letters and resumes depending on the job being applied, keeping document formatting and information uniform and concise, how to stand from out as an applicant, and other various excerpts of information regarding the application process.
