Networking Foundations: Local Area Networks (LANs)
This course provided a comprehensive foundation in the principles and practices of local area network (LAN) and wireless local area network (WLAN) administration, focusing on the design, implementation, and security of modern network infrastructures. Through a combination of theoretical learning and hands-on lab exercises, I developed practical skills in configuring network devices, establishing robust connectivity, and implementing essential security protocols to safeguard both wired and wireless systems. The curriculum enhanced my understanding of critical concepts such as IP addressing, subnetting, and network segmentation, while also providing direct experience in mitigating common vulnerabilities. This experience has equipped me with the technical competencies necessary to effectively deploy and manage secure, scalable network solutions in a professional environment.
