Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc
I am the current Chapter President for the Epsilon Delta chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc here on Temple’s campus for the ’23-’24 school year. Our organization strives to promote and attain scholarship, public service, and sisterhood. We host and do a lot of programs/activities on campus, such as our recent “Everyday Life of an Athlete” event where we had several Temple athletes, and even the Temple women’s basketball coach Diane Richardson speak on their life as an athlete and mental health. We also commit ourselves to a lot of philanthropy and community service. One of our biggest donations was towards the National Aids Fund, and we recently committed our time to a shelter prepping the food and feeding those who are less fortunate. This role brings me a lot of satisfaction solely because I get to make the world a better place, one person at a time, while also gaining the soft/hard skills to use in everyday life.
