In pursuit of this goal, the program has created a brand new Cyber Security Track, now offered to ITACS&#8217; ever-growing student body (whose numbers soared from 11 students in 2012 to approximately 95 this year).<\/p>\n<p>ITACS is proud to offer two new special topics courses for the Cyber Security Track Spring Semester: The new courses\u00a0<strong>Operating Systems Security<\/strong> \u00a0and <strong>Forensics<\/strong>\u00a0complement the ITACS programs other cutting-edge courses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Intrusion Detection &amp; Response \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Students learn the variety of tool and techniques used to prevent attacks, quickly identify successful attacks, detect advanced persistent threats and monitor systems activity.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Securing the Digital Infrastructure<\/strong> \u2013 Examines issues related to securing the components of a company\u2019s infrastructure, reviewing network, firewall, and basic operating system security issues.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ethical Hacking<\/strong> \u2013 Introduces\u00a0students to hacking strategies and tactics used by ethical or \u201cWhite Hat\u201d hackers.
