\"Abdul<\/a>This past year, Nelson Ocampo had us floored when he became the first part-time student at Temple to simultaneously earn a CISA certification<\/a>. This month, Abdul Kone joins his ranks, further distinguishing himself as the first student to do so while also studying full-time.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was an achievement that I did not expect,\u201d said Kone, describing the balancing act that allowed him to stay on top of his course work, work a part-time job on the weekend, and study during his free weekday hours. \u201cI have tried to be organized and focused.\u201d<\/p>\n

In an interview, Kone described his three-pronged studying strategy (so take note, CISA preppers): (1) he read supplementary materials on class topics each day, (2) he practiced test-taking with ISACA CISA Exam Review practice exams, and (3) he performed anticipatory research for many of his upcoming classes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel blessed, honored, and grateful\u2026when I look back and see my life path,\u201d said Kone, who grew up in Abobo, one of the poorest cities in the Ivory Coast. \u201cEspecially considering where I come from and where I am today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kone graduated Fox MIS in 2013 and is working as Apptech IT Auditor Associate at Morgan Stanley, on track for a managerial role within the next two years. Abdul sets an important precedent for all students aspiring to earn similar distinctions, even while pursuing their degrees at Fox.
