In these databases, anything of value, including money, music, intellectual property and a wide array of other important information, is stored and moved privately and securely. The transaction records stored in blockchain are not stored in any single location, which keeps it public and verifiable. Additionally, since this information is not centralized, there is no one area where a malicious individual could target their attack.
