Target

In the summer of 2020 I worked for Target as a store management Intern where I helped to oversee multiple areas of the store contributing to the highest earning quarter in Target history. During this internship there was a large push to drive efficiency throughout the store with using their software “MyDay”. This focus to streamline efficiency came from the intention to decrease back room units to help fill the store during these tough times (COVID-19). This project to decrease back room units and fill the store helped me develop as a manager by teaching me how to step up and make the right decisions when needed as well as developing a business owner mentality.

EPC

In the summer of 2019 I learned so much in this amazing internship from injection molding all the way to client relations. This internship I believe epitomizes what it means to be an MIS major. Majority of my time at EPC was living in the world between the analytical side of the business (Solidworks, which is the software used for molding) and the customer, or employee side of the business. My position along with Mr. Carroll’s (President of the company) was very much based on understanding the problem and working to find the solution. I find this internship to relate to 2502 (data analytics) because of the fact that they both deal heavily with information which needs to be organized and filtered to find the solution. I also believe that this internship relates to ERDs that are used in 2101 because it helps us to illustrate our most practical and efficient path to take with the machines.

Harmelin & Associates Inc

In the summer of 2019 I worked with Harmelin & Associates Inc as a part time (weekend) employee but learned so much. I Assisted with the implementation and quality assurance process of a proprietary application to increase efficiencies by reducing project time spend by 20%. Also worked with multiple departments to leverage usability testing to increase functionality of the proprietary application. Led the creation of multiple competitive market intelligence analyses for different clients spanning multiple markets to better understand market positioning and forecasting. Spearheaded a customer segmentation project for one of the largest global Resort companies, comprised of 27K customers and over $30M+ in revenue, to identify and prioritize their ideal customer profile.

Geiger & Sons LLC

In the summer of 2018 I worked for Geiger & Sons LLC as a market analyst providing Data Analyses on potential investments. I created a market analysis including 110 individual residential properties with a focus on determining where their profitability lies (rental or flip). Shortly after Geiger & Sons purchased two properties where I led an onsite team which taught me the skills of leadership and project management. This is also where I fell in love with real estate and was the reason for me pursuing my real estate license. One of the homes we bought was rented for a year and then sold for over market value and the other is still being rented to this day.
