Google Sheets: Advanced Topics
The “Google Sheets: Advanced Topics” course on LinkedIn Learning taught me valuable skills that will be incredibly useful in my career as an MIS major. I learned how to apply and customize themes, plus use conditional formatting to make data more visually appealing and easier to work with. I also gained a solid understanding of advanced formulas and functions, like IF/IFS, data validation, and named ranges, which will be helpful for managing complex data. The course also taught me how to create charts, pivot tables, and other visualizations, which are essential for presenting data in a way that even non-technical people can understand. I also learned to integrate Google Sheets with Google Forms for quick data collection and analysis. The hands-on business challenge at the end allowed me to apply everything I learned. These skills are also directly applicable to future jobs as I’m interested in the field of consulting, where I’ll need to analyze business data and present insights to clients. I’m also interested in auditing, where data management and reporting are key to evaluating financial information.
