This event was led by Lissa Hilsee the Talent and Education Network Consultant at <\/span>Main Line Chamber of Commerce. The event began with a webinar featuring three employers who emphasized the importance of building a strong personal brand, especially through maintaining a professional and active online presence. They highlighted how platforms like LinkedIn can significantly influence how potential employers perceive you and stressed the value of showcasing relevant skills and experiences.<\/p>\n

After the webinar, we joined a Zoom call where we were placed into breakout rooms with company representatives. This allowed for more personal interaction, where we shared our takeaways and asked questions.<\/p>\n

As an MIS major, I found this experience especially valuable. In the tech-driven business world, having a strong online presence is essential\u2014not just for networking, but for demonstrating technical skills, projects, and certifications. This event reinforced the importance of presenting myself as a capable and forward-thinking candidate, which aligns with my career goal of working in IT consulting or systems analysis.
