Evidence Synthesis Data Visualization

I attended the Evidence Synthesis Data Visualization workshop hosted by Travis Nace, Research and Instruction Librarian at Temple University’s Ginsburg Health Sciences Library. This session focused on best practices for representing research findings visually, especially within systemic reviews and meta-analyses. The workshop covered key visualization types such as bar charts, forest plots, funnel plots, and PRISMA flow diagrams, emphasizing the importance of clear, color accessible, and well structured designs. It also introduced tools like Excel, Tableau, and ATLAS.ti for creating effective and interactive data visualizations. From this experience, I learned how to choose appropriate visualization methods for different types of evidence data, clean datasets for analysis, and communicate results more effectively through visual storytelling.
