Interest and Hobbies

Growing up there was only one thing that I would do, and that was to play sports.  As a child I didn’t care that much about tv and spent most of my time outside.  I played football, baseball, basketball, and always a eventful night of capture the flag throughout my childhood.  Growing up, sports was not just entertainment, it was a learning experience.  From playing all of these different kinds of sports when I was younger taught me lessions that I use now.  Self-discipline, motivation, hard work, and that you don’t always have to win.  Sports taught me that if you wanted to become better, you would have to work at it since you wouldn’t become better overnight.  From all the dedication and training I put into playing sports, I feel I have become patient yet eager to succeed.  My family is from Denver, CO and from that I was raised a die-heart Broncos fan.  I have been to over 15 Broncos games in my lifetime and I love the atompshere of going to games and enjoy seeing the game played at a professional level. Although living in Pennsylvania can be hard being a Broncos fan, this is the only team I could ever seeing myself rooting for. GO BRONCOS

When I was in Middle School, I wasn’t allowed to play football because of an past-injury.  I needed something to take the place of it and I was introduce into Cross-Country.  Not only was it a new learning experience but the most challenging one of my sports career.  However I feel in love with running and continued into High School.  Cross-Country most importantily taught me patience and teamwork.  Although Cross-Country is an individual event, it is als a team sport.  Helping your teammates finish and push themselves in order to get better each race.  Each year it took a lot of my free time, sweat, and tears in order to get better.  However by the end of the year, it was always worth it.  I would have continued running at at college level until I torn a ligament in my knee my senior year.  I have healed from the event and I still continue to run in my free time.

Another Hobby of mine is traveling to see new cultures.  I have been to multiple countries and almost 40 states.   I love to experience new cultures different from mine becasue growing up my parents always took me with them when they went of trips.  Seeing how other people live and the difficulties they have, makes me feel lucky compared to some of the countries I have seen in Central America.  Although I haven’t been able to go on any recent travels because of working and college, once I graduate I plan on going on a couple trips to see even more of the world.  The most interesting place I want to visit is Spain because of the beauty of their country and most importantly I have always wanted to run with the bulls and expeience the festival of Sanfermines.
