Developer Intern
During my Summer 2025 internship, I worked as a Summer Intern at Slipstream Life Sciences, an IT consulting firm that provides digital and technology solutions for biotechnology and life sciences companies. I was part of the web development and digital solutions team, supporting client-facing projects across multiple biotech organizations and product websites.
In this role, I contributed to front-end development and quality assurance efforts. My responsibilities included writing and debugging code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python, as well as conducting QA testing on websites and web applications to identify and resolve bugs. I collaborated with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and project managers to ensure high-quality deliverables and a seamless user experience across client platforms.
One of my key accomplishments was independently developing the quality and documentation webpage for Akron Biotech (https://akronbiotech.com/quality/documents-and-certificates), where I handled page structure, responsiveness, and content implementation. Additionally, I contributed to various quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes across multiple client websites, including Vyjuvek, Arcutis Biotherapeutics, ZORYVE, Krystal Biotech, and several others. These contributions improved site functionality, resolved UI inconsistencies, and enhanced overall usability.
Through this internship, I applied concepts from my Management Information Systems coursework, particularly in web development, systems analysis, and IT project collaboration. I strengthened my technical skills while gaining real-world experience working in a consulting environment, where adaptability, communication, and attention to detail are critical. This experience provided valuable insight into how IT solutions support business needs in the biotech industry and further solidified my interest in pursuing a career in technology consulting.
