My Experience
Home Health Aide: For almost the last three years I have been a home health aide. I care for and assist people that are either sick handicapped or otherwise disabled. I assist with acitvities of daily living, occasional light housework and taking my clients on outings and to various events. I enjoy my job because I get to help people who otherwise might not get to help themselves.
Dancer/Dance Instructor: I am a technically trained dancer and have been dancing almost my whole life. I have performed all over the country and for all walks of people. Dance is my passion, one of the things that I would do for the rest of my life if I could. I have been teaching dance since I was a teenager and enjoy the interaction and impact that I have on my students as well as the effect that my choreography has on the audience.
Event Planner/Coordinator: Over the last few years I have been able to be a part of creating some of the best events in Long Island NY. From fashion shows to parties concerts etc. I love the whole process of producing an event from planning to show time. It is exciting to see it all come together and the reaction the audience gives when the see the finished product.
Future Goals
After graduation, I would like to start my own entertainment event planning company. I would be providing my own events as well as events for others. I plan on having multiple aspects of entertainment such as artist management, development, production, as well as incorporating other facets such as dance and the like. I also would like to do business consulting. People are always asking me about ways to make money or to help them with an idea that they have. And in talking to people I always find that I am able to help people see things from a different perspective.
